Tom Seaver: A Terrific Life

Tom Seaver was one of the greatest and most competitive baseball players ever to take the field. He is one of the only tow pitchers to win 300 games, record 3,000 strikeouts, and finish with a career ERA under 3.00. He was a Rookie of the Year, three-time Cy Young Award winner, twelve-time All-Star, and first-ballot Hall of Famer. But he is probably best known for taking a team that had never had a winning record, the New Your Mets, and leading them to the most improbable World Series victory in baseball history. His nickname was Tom Terrific, and on one ever doubted that he deserved it. For the Mets he was simply "The Franchise."
